Recently, the Department of Education ofGuangxi Zhuangautonomous regionhasannounced the Municipal Industry-Education Consortium of the Autonomous Region, Autonomous Community of Industry-Education Integration, China - ASEAN Technology InnovationInstitute,the Institute ofChina - ASEAN Modern Craftsmen to be the list of projects to be constructed.The "China-ASEAN Intelligent Manufacturing Technology InnovationInstitute" led by the School of Mechanical Engineering of our university and the "Nanning Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Teaching Consortium" jointly constructed with Nanning Hi-TechIndustrial DevelopmentZone have been approved for project construction.

On September 1, 2023, Liu Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, met with Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Party Group of the Ministry of Education.Heexpressed his entourageandhopedthat the Ministry of Education would increase its care and support for Guangxi's education cause, and give support to Guangxi in the construction of first-class disciplines inGXU, the construction ofthe Institute ofChina - ASEAN Modern Craftsmen in cooperation with ASEAN countries, the implementation of the Border Education Enhancement Project, the construction of high-level talents and teams, and thecreating ahighland opencooperation andinnovation invocationaleducation for ASEAN, andjointly promote the ASEAN-oriented industry, education, think tanks in the integration of the construction ofdemonstration area for the clustering of industry and education, to promote the deepening of education in Guangxi foreign exchanges and cooperation, accelerate the modernization of education in Guangxi.

To this end, according to the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Clustering and Integration of Industry and Education to Create a ASEAN-orientedVocationalEducationOpenCooperation andInnovationHighland"issuedbythe Ministry of Education, the regional government and the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Municipal Industry and Education Consortium Construction Guidelines"issuedbythe regional government office and other four construction guidance, the regional Department of Education organizedtheMunicipal Industry-Education Consortium of the Autonomous Region, Autonomous Community of Industry-Industry-Education Integration, China - ASEAN Technology InnovationInstitute,the Institute ofChina - ASEAN Modern Craftsmen. After declaration, evaluation and deliberation, 10 Municipal Industry-Education Consortium, 15 Industry-Industry-Education Integration Community, 10TechnologicalInnovationInstitutes and 17Institutes ofModern Craftsmen are proposed to be constructed.

China-ASEAN Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Innovation Institute will focus on the construction of key industry chains, focus on the key technical problems of industrial development, promote the industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements, cultivate high-level technical talents to support the technological innovation and transformation and upgrading of China's and even ASEAN's high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and create a comprehensive platform for the fusion of industry and education with abundant resources and innovation in the mode of talent cultivation.
