On October 9^th, Pauline Kao, Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou,visitedGuangxi Universityaccompanied by the head of the Consular Department of the Foreign Affairs Office ofGuangxi ZhuangAutonomous Region.Xia Guoen, member of the Standing Committee of theCPC GXUCommittee and Vice President ofGXU, attended the meeting.

Vice PresidentXia Guoenexpressed hiswelcometoPauline Kao and her delegation and briefly introduced the basic situation of Guangxi University and the exchange and cooperation programs between GXU and American universities. He also hoped that Pauline Kao would make a connection between GXU and high-level universities in the United States, promote scientific research cooperation and strengthen teacher-student exchanges.

Pauline Kaoexpressed her willingness to help GXU strengthen its connections with excellent universities in the United States, establish long-term friendly cooperative relationship, and promote more cooperation and exchanges between teachers and students from United States and Guangxi University. She also had a detailed understanding of the training of international students in Guangxi University, American teachers of GXU and other cooperation and exchange programs.
