GXU Participated in the 30th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium and Achieved Excellent Results

From November 11thto 15th,the 30thTri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium was held at Jiangsu University.GXUVice President Xiao Jianzhuang led the delegationto attend the symposium.

At the opening ceremony,Vice President Xiao Jianzhuangpointed out that the 30thTri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium provided an opportunity for universities in Asian countries to discuss cooperation and development. During the conference, Xiao Jianzhuang also went to the venue to exchange ideas withGXUteachers and studentswho participated in the seminar, encouraging them totakethis seminar as a platformforactive exchange, knowledge sharing, and mutual learningwith other participants.

A delegation of seven students and one youngteacherfrom Guangxi University attended the seminar. TheGXUrepresentatives presented their papers in Englishon-siteand responded to audience questions.In the end, Qiu Jingsi, a doctoral student from the School of Agriculture, Liang Xincheng, a doctoral student from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Zhang Yifan, a master's student from the School of Foreign Languages, won the Best Oral Presentation Award. Lv Shuangshuang, a doctoral student from the China-ASEAN Institute of Economics, won the Best Academic Workshop Award. This seminar also commended universities and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium. Guo Yulu, Deputy Director of theGXUInternational Cooperation and Exchange Department, washonored withthe 30-year Development Contribution Award.

The Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium (Tri-U) was jointly initiated in 1994 by Mie University (Japan), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), and Jiangsu University (China). Over the past 30 years, it has become a vital platform for Asian universitiesto cultivateinternational youngtalents. This year's Tri-U conferencehas attractedover 110 youngteachersand students from seven universitiesinfour countries: China, Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia. The attending representatives discussed the five themes of population, food, energy, environment, artificial intelligence and the sustainable development of human society.
