From May 17 to 18, the 8th Annual Conference of the Evaluation Methods and Applications Subcommittee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economic Mathematics was held in Nanning. The event was co-hosted by the Evaluation Methods and Applications Subcommittee and Guangxi University.

The conference focused onthe theme “Innovation inEvaluation Methods and Application Scenarios for High-Quality Development”. Expert representatives delivered nine keynote presentations on cutting-edge topics including“Emergency Management Performance EvaluationBased on the‘Crisis-Opportunity’ ParadoxPerspective”, “Financial Research under the Healthy China Strategy”, and “Valuation and Benefit Distribution Mechanisms of Data Elements”.The conference featured a special Dean's Forum for Economics and Management disciplines. Wang Yingming, former Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Fuzhou University; Liu Wenbin, Vice President ofNanfangCollegeGuangzhou; Wu Jie, Vice Dean of the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China; and Xie Rui, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Trade at Hunan University, engaged in in-depth discussions on how evaluation in economics and management disciplines can drive new quality productive forces and high-quality development, offering suggestions for the advancement of the field.The conference also featured eight parallel sub-forums, showcasing and reviewing nearly 60acceptedpapers in areas such as DEA method innovationsand applications, public policy and social serviceevaluations, and environmental and energy efficiencyevaluations. Eight papers received the conference’sHigh-Quality Paper Award.
Nearly 200 participantsattended the conference, including heads ofthe Institute of Scientific Research and the School of Business, Guangxi University,as well as experts,scholars,facultymembers andstudentsfrom universities in China.
