RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT

The laboratory has long been engaged in germplasm resource innovation and resistance gene function research of grass crops (plants) such as sugarcane, rice and wheat, straw traits, cell wall biosynthesis, degradation and transformation molecular mechanism research, and energy crop breeding. Through the use of transcriptomics, metabolomics, gene editing, biochemical and molecular biology, bioinformatics, quantitative genetics, biomass energy and other technologies and knowledge, the research aims to reveal the functions and regulatory networks of important trait genes in plant growth and development and stress response.
