The 22ndNational CollegeAthleticsChampionships took place in Nanping, FujianProvincefrom July 15 to 20.GXUtrack and field teamled byteam manager Liu Zhongqing and coaches Huang Mei and Huang Zunbing achieved outstanding results.

At the group stages, the women’s 4×400 meter relay team composed of Gu Qianming, Liu Ziling, Miao Kexi and Xia Shanshan secured fourth place,Wang Junjie earned fifth place in the men’s 200 meters, the men’s 4×100 meter relay team featuring Qin Haoxiang, Wang Junjie, Chen Wenlinand Zeng Yuanyou finished sixth, and the women’s 4×100 meter relay team consisting of Zhu Fanchi, Gu Qianming, Miao Kexi and Xia Shanshan achieved eighth place.

Inthe group matches,Wang Junjie recorded an impressive time of 20.96 secondsin the men’s 200-meter preliminaries, meeting the national elite athlete standard and setting a new record forGXUstudentsandsurpassing the Guangxi adult record of 21.02 seconds, andZeng Yuanyou clocked a time of 10.46 secondsin the men’s 100 meters, meeting the national elite athlete standard and setting a new record forGXUstudents.

The event, organized by the Students’Sports Federationof China,the Chinese Athletic Association, and the Municipal Governmentof Nanping, saw participationof5,285 athletes representing 438 colleges and universities nationwide.
